Temple Terrace, Fla., July 17, 2025—Focus Day School, a new private school dedicated to serving students with learning and developmental disabilities in grades 3-6, is proud to announce its new scholarship program. In partnership with Step Up For Students, our private institution has become an approved provider for the Step Up For Students Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA).
This scholarship will be geared towards assisting with tuition and educational expenses for families with students with special needs who may qualify for admission.
“We are honored to partner with Step Up For Students,” said Elisabeth Kraft-Radka, Head of Schools for Focus Academy and Focus Day School. “With this scholarship program, we can go the extra mile and provide additional aid to families with students who have a learning or developmental disability.”
To qualify, students ages 3 through grade 12 (or age 22, whichever comes first) with one of the qualifying diagnoses mentioned within the eligibility criteria may be eligible for this scholarship. Award amounts may vary based on the student’s grade level, county, and individual needs, with scholarships averaging $10,000 annually.
